There were never any hard set rules for stardates. The random numbers in the shows were, more or less, just random numbers made up by the writer (this was especially true in TOS). The only two "rules" are that 1000 units equals one year, so 2345-2346 would be something like Stardate 34567-...

No bigs, I don't know if anyone else did this, but I just replaced the 14 in the address bar with 15 and got to the right story just fine; of course, that was after I'd saved the wrong one and loaded it to my e-reader. Wish I'd noticed it before that point, but that was my fault for not paying close...

That said, score one for desktop users! So much easier to diagnose and repair problems at the sacrifice of mobility.
