Re: December Check-In

the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter. Careful, that could be an oncoming train! As for things here, "December Check-In" is ironically appropriate as I'm just starting a new job at the local Comfort Inn. Tonight will be my third night of training as the new Front ...

Re: "Star Traks: Holodeck One"

I had this bizarre image of Yanick going into the Holodeck to play out her 'Krissy, the Vampire Slayer' program. (Buffy doesn't sound girly enough for her.) Something about chasing after vampires with a lasso. Of course, calling it "Krissy" brings to mind images of Larkin's android double...

Re: The most underrated Trek Movie?

III and Generations are my top picks as well, though III moreso I'd say. Not only did III set up some of the best story arcs in VI (David's death in particular), but also provided some well-written emotional scenes as well (again, Kirk's reaction to David's murder and, as Alan mentioned, the death o...

Re: Traks on Facebook

You can't find me because I am not there! HAHAHAHA! Yea! High-five - I was beginning to think I was the only one, though my reason is I'm just plain anti-social. Or, at least, I prefer to do my social networking in person whenever possible. Forums are fine, but if I'm gonna network, it should be wi...

Re: Haven Design

Nicely done. One idea I've always liked for weapons is hiding them under sliding panels. When the weapons aren't needed, you have a smooth, unbroken hull, but when you need to shoot something, suddenly the hull looks like a blowfish! This has the added benefit of fooling enemies into thinking the ci...

Re: Terror on Academy Hill

Normally, I'd agree but this is Abrams' Trek where things are EPIC! and different (they imploded Vulcan! That was EPIC!) and certain things, like the laws of physics, don't apply (because physics aren't EPIC!). Given that, their version of the Academy is going to be slightly ... erm (I refuse to cal...
