Hi There,
How do you all feel about a specific section for stand-alone Traks holodeck stories (ie: Julian Bashir "secret agent" fantasy roleplays) that have little to nothing to do with each series' over-all story-arc's?

The suggestion is an inherent empty stage waiting to be filled with one's creativity [perhaps in this day & age an iTable/appropriate apps & wikipaddia (c) would be more appropriate]

Good script examples: The two part Voyager/Hirogen WW2 holodeck espisode [the entire ship had been converted into a holodeck] and another two part Voyager/Hirogen episode where holodeck characters escaped from a Hirogen holodeck.

GTG, Flank speed, now !!!

* "Message in a Bottle" - The Doctor's program is sent to an advanced Starfleet vessel via a vast ancient communications network belonging to the Hirogen, but he soon discovers that only he and the ship's own EMH remain to fight against a Romulan attempt to take over the ship in question.
* "Hunters" - A transmission from Starfleet Command gets held at a Hirogen relay station and Janeway sets course to retrieve it.
* "Prey" - Voyager rescues a Hirogen survivor who tells them a new kind of prey is on the loose.
* "The Killing Game" - The Hirogen implant devices into the crew making them believe they are characters within the holodecks being used for hunts.
* "Tsunkatse" - Seven of Nine and Tuvok are kidnapped while on shore leave and Seven is forced to compete in a fighting contest against a Hirogen.
* "Flesh and Blood" - Voyager's hologram technology given to the Hirogen has been modified and is rebelling.

I had this bizarre image of Yanick going into the Holodeck to play out her 'Krissy, the Vampire Slayer' program. (Buffy doesn't sound girly enough for her.) Something about chasing after vampires with a lasso.

Of course, calling it "Krissy" brings to mind images of Larkin's android double that Ardek reprogrammed in Vexed...
Also, holodecks = the BEST gaming systems ever. Of all time. I've actually given serious thought to having a particular crew of Klingons play old Earth FPS games (Halo, Half-Life, Call of Duty, etc.) on a holodeck...

I had a scene in an early Silverado story with the crew playing Star Wars: Jedi Academy...
