	The [[USS Maladventure]] battles multiple Breen ships as they try to break through the Breen lines and reach Earth. Once there, they find a Breen platform in that is dampening the power grids of all ships in orbit of the planet. It’s heavily shielded, so Captain [[Reginald Bain]] decides that the only option is to abandon ship and use the Maladventure itself as a weapon to destroy it. The tactic is successful, and the Maladventure crashes into the platform, destroying it in the resulting explosion. The Breen move to capture the Maladventure's escape pods, but the Earth fleet, now functional again and led by Captain [[Barnum Dax]] in the USS Enterprise-I, swoops in to finish off the Breen. 	Captain Reginald Bain and the command officers of the [[USS Anomaly]] are gathered on Earth for a ceremony to commemorate the first Barnum Dax Day, in honor of Dax’s role in ending the war with the Vulcans. Bain is not happy to be there, particularly since Dax didn’t actually do anything during the War. He just got the credit because Bain left him in command of the fleet at the end when things were already well in hand and the Anomaly went to Vulcan itself. The waiters at the ceremony are Breen and there as part of the Waiter Exchange Program, one of a series of initiatives designed to improve relations with the Breen. 			At the Romulan officers’ table, Commander [[Vioxx]], Sub-Commander [[Remax]], and Engineer [[Selex]] debate killing Commander [[Prosak]]. Vioxx is still not sure, since they have the opportunity to forge real peace between the Romulan Empire and the Federation. Prosak arrives at the table and asks if she can sit with them. Vioxx offers her a seat, ending the conversation about her death, and he also thwarts Selex’s attempt to poison her.


			Bain gets drunk and, after stopping by the Romulans’ table, stumbles off unaware that three of the Breen waiters are now following him. Lieutenant Commander [[Tovar]] see the Breen, though, and moves to stop them. Before he can get there, Bain springs into action to deal with them. Dax, annoyed by the disturbance, stops giving his speech and comes down from the dais to see what is going on. He ends up getting punched in the face by a Breen for his trouble.


			Tovar recognizes that one of the Breen is [[Thot-Phul]], who is once again attempting to get revenge on Bain. Security takes the Breen away, and Bain and his officers return to the Anomaly after the ceremony ends.


			Thot-Phul and the other Breen are turned over to [[Grad-Norm]], who tells Phul that he needs to be trained in the art of revenge.
