			Phul was demoted to Dobt and ended up working for Grad-Norm on the Breen homeworld. After the Anomaly was detected passing through Breen space using its [[anti-singularity drive]], Norm had Phul approach their prisoner [[Selex]] about a deal. In exchange for Selex's release so that he could work on a Romulan version of the anti-singularity drive, Karwrek and Selex would provide the schematics to the Breen. Over the following months, Phul convinced Admiral [[Karwrek]] to trade the design specifications for the Romulans’ anti-singularity drive to the Breen in exchange for Selex’s release. He oversaw the refit of twelve scythe ships and found soldiers patriotic enough to become Volunteers and have their brains removed from their bodies and encased in the drive control spheres in order make the engine function properly. Phul was restored in rank to Thot and led the twelve scythe ships to the [[Pharsalus Sector]], where they were to meet up with Selex on the [[Manamanat]] and ambush the Anomaly, thus allowing Phul to finally have his revenge on Bain. Things did not go according to plan, and Phul's ship was heavily-damaged by the Anomaly, forcing Phul and some of his officers to escape to the Manamanat. While Bain wiped out the rest of his fleet, Phul was confronted by Commander [[Vioxx]], whom Phul had no interest in fighting. A melee ensued regardless as the Anomaly approached. Phul tried to get the upper hand on Bain one last time by ordering an anti-sing burst to attack the Anomaly. Bain was expecting this, and the Anomaly damaged the Manamanat as soon as it arrived.
