The companion vessel of the USS Explorer. The Escort is actually a pre-owned (Starfleet doesn't like the term "used") vessel and has been in service for about 30 years. It's spaceframe is that of a Peregrine-class fighter, but it has extra decks, giving it room for 30-40 officers and men. It has a VERY small shuttle bay, a cramped bridge, and a tiny mess hall. The captain's readyroom and quarters are combined, thanks to the advent of the futon.
