Wer Cillan

Wer Cillan was the Bajoran captain of the USS Abu Simbel where Reginald Bain served as Tactical Officer earlier in his career. When the Abu Simbel happened upon a Pakled freighter that was venting plasma and near a core breach, Captain Wer sent over an engineering team to render aid. She also sent Bain over, since she was suspicious at how frightened the Pakleds seemed to be dealing with Starfleet. Bain discovered that the Pakleds, Gridloo and Pridloo were using an awful red dust to grow plants, so he beamed the dust into space and replaced it with quality soil from his own supply as a gift before the Abu Simbel went on its way. Unbeknownst to Bain, the dust was actually an illegal drug bound for Cardassia. (The Bain Of Our Existence [BG])
