Midon

A Brackto symbiont studied by Dr. Amelia Nelson on Bracktia Prime. When the Hinaree invaded Nelson's lab with the intention of killing Midon, Nelson joined with Midon to save the symbiont's life. (Star Traks 5 [TRK]) Midon has added a decidedly old and cranky aspect to Nelson's personality since the joining, and the symbiont particularly didn't enjoy Nelson's visit home. (Gut Feelings [WAY]) Nelson requires regular injections of Unlogi to maintain her symbiosis with Midon. While Midon has been around for close to 700 years, the symbiont does not have stories of exciting past lives to relate. Most of its time was spent in a pool. Its only joinings were to a preschool teacher and a manure farmer.

After Dr. Nelson was captured by the Collectors, Midon was separated from its host, put into a stasis box, and ejected into space where it was found by the USS Wayward. Once Nelson was rescued, she wasn't sure if she wanted to be joined again. (Collectibles - Part One, Collectibles - Part Two [WAY]) Midon lived in a pool in the Waystation infirmary until representatives from Bracktia Prime came to the station to return it to its planet of origin, where it would spend the rest of its life in pools there and never be allowed to join again.
