The USS Anomaly is a Hermes-class starship and the central starship of Star Traks: Boldly Gone.
Construction
The USS Anomaly started life as the Hermes-7, an experimental ship designed for use with the prototype anti-singularity drive. As evidenced by the "7" in its name, the Hermes-7 was the seventh attempt to get the anti-singularity drive to work properly. The previous six Hermes vessels all exploded when the drive was activated.
