Starfleet Weapons and Advanced Tactics

A dedicated section of the Starfleet which exists alongside Starfleet Research and Design in the 23rd century. Dedicated to churning out weapons of mass destruction and new ways to kill old enemies. Spread across several Starship crews, SWAT divisions maintain a careful eye on the enemies of the Federation and ensure that the current arsenal of the Starfleet is maintained at a "ready to kill" level just below that of outright war.

Commodore Stone (father of Captain Marcus Stone) is a command level officer in the SWAT organisation and berates the Captain for the intervention of the Devonshire crew and the subsequent destruction of the Chibbles on Starbase 18.
