Betazoids

Humanoid species native to the planet Betazed. Betazoids are identical in appearance to Humans, though they possess slightly different internal make-ups. Their one noticeable quality is that they possess extremely powerful mental abilities. These abilities range from thought reading to telekinesis and temporary mind control. Betazoids are often enlisted as counselors aboard Federation star ships. Lieutenant Ariel Tilleran of the USS Explorer and Captain Jad Vorezze of the USS Banshee are both Betazoids.
