Maaloxian

Delat quadrant species from the planet Maalox. The Maaloxian empire once streatched acorss half of the Delta quadrant until the Flarn arrived and made them a side dish, literally. Several Maaloxian pilots survived into the 2370's due to their ability to navigate through vast asteroid belts, and through portals into the Alpha quadrant and retireve supplies for the Flarn themselves. The Maaloxian pilots live under no illusions that should the portals disappear, or should the Alpha quadrant species who they prey on suddenly decide to end the supply of vitals, then the Flarn will dispatch them as ignominously as their bretheren. They too will become appeatisers.

Mirk and his father Jum are both Maaloxian, and are jointly responsible for the large Federation/Klingon/<Insert your species here> ship graveyward just outside the asteroid belt containing the "Return" portal (The Opposite side of the Bermuda Expanse), although Mirk eventually joins forces with the crew of the USS Aerostar to attempt to create an alliance of Delta quadrant species with which to defeat the Flarn.
