Talbot

Agent Talbot (probably not his real name) was a Section 31 operative in command of the Deogen. He took the ship to Ceti Alpha Five in hopes of convincing Khan Noonian Singh to work for them. Instead, he found Dr. Janet Corbair and beamed her aboard his ship. Corbair convinced him that trying to recruit Khan was a very bad idea, and instead Talbot agreed to allow Corbair to resume her experiments on humans with a high ESPer rating, specifically Ronnie Harper, whom Talbot had beamed aboard. Talbot was surprised by the arrival of a ship from The Path of Khan, and events soon escalated to battle. He disabled the Path of Khan ship, but then was tricked by Mike Harper into taking the Section 31 ship close to a makeshift antimatter bomb cobbled together by the crew of the SS Clydesdale. The resulting damage disabled Talbot's ship, which was then rammed by the Path of Khan ship in a last ditch suicide maneuver. Both vessels were then caught in the gravity well of Ceti Alpha Six and plummeted to the surface. Talbot died as a result of his ship crashing into the planet. ("The Khan Job" [TOS])
