Lucas Rascamontes is the helmsman of the S.S. Hansean.

Immediately upon boarding the Hansean he tried chatting up first mate Leanne Braistway, unsuccesfully. He was also freaked out by Flash GorDonTer (The Incongruous Arrival [IV]). When the Hansean arrived at Cardassia Prime he was sent undercover alongside Giuseppi Lombardo, who after making contact with terrorist Wek Seleya was able to alert Captain Klaus Reimann and Captain Marvin Jakes of an attempt to bomb them (United Colours of Cardassia [IV]). He is known to fancy Reimann's assistant Henry Labrapoulos (The Dating Game [IV]). Later in the year he convinced Lombardo go clubbing with him on Antidea, where his friend drunknely married Frida. He was able to get Lombardo a quick divorce (The Fishy and The Elderly [IV]), though he also helps him out when writing love letters to his previous spouse (The Language of Romance [IV]). After the Hansean was disabled by a Pirate EMP he was first to find Captain Reimann, though due to the breakdown of the universal translator he could only speak in Spanish and had to communicate using hand signals. He was later used as a decoy when Briatsway captured the boarding pirates.
