Nicknamed "Flash" by Leanne Braistway, it is the Tactical and Operations Officer on board the S.S. Hansean.

Flash is a Magnoliophyta Orchidaceae (an Orchid), it's body composed of long vines, tendrils and leaves. It is able to rearrange these vines, giving it many possible body shapes. Despite this ability it normally interacts with the crew as a six foot tall humanoid shape. Flash uses neither to male nor female pronoun, referring to itself as "One". This fact disturbed helmsman Lucas Rascamontes upon meeting Flash, wondering it by cutting Flash in half it could become "Two" (The Incongruous Arrival [IV]).

It is not offended by others keeping plants in pots (A Botanical Question [IV]).

Flash was on board the S.S. River Running when it disappeared and found itself outside the Green Meadows Retirement Home. Alongside Leanne Braistway and Dr. Belle Scorpio it helped convince the omnipotent residents to escape, and succesfully sprung them from the retirement home (The Fishy and The Elderly [IV]).

When the Hansean was disabled by a pirate EMP Flash was caught at the start of his photosynthesis cycle, and the lack of light resulted in it beginning to wilt. It was saved by being placed under a strong torchlight and given ration packs diluted in water to absorb (Babel Talk [IV]).
