Synopsis
The crew of the Devonshire are seemingly beginning to make themselves at home on Gamma Sigma VI after finding that they have just enough fuel to raid the nearby oasis planet of Gamma Sigma V. Stone orders a continual watch on the system using their last orbital probe to watch for a rescue.
Meanwhile, in Orbit around Vulcan, the USS Devonshire appears to fly out from within a temporal anomaly, a real pretty purple one too, which then abruptly disappears before any of the surrounding ships can get any real readings on it (aided by a thermonuclear explosion which destorys the ass-end of the Devonshire herself). On a whim, one of the commanders of the science ships orbitng Vulcan is dispatched to follow up a tenuous lead on the survivors of the crew of the Devonshire, and stumbles upon Devonshire-Ville just as Whiteford finally loses his marbles and decides to abscond in a shuttlecraft.
Shuttlecraft vs Starship. Shuttlecraft wins? - Well this time aided by the ignorance and plain arrogance of the Captain of the USS Devlin it does, and Whiteford then sets about destroying Stone and the others who have given chase in another shuttle. With the destruction of a floating relic, the beating of a certain XO and the almost disaster of trying to land a Miranda class Starship on a planet, things get interesting real quick as everyone tries to rescue each other and only succeed in creating yet more mayhem.....
