Unpleasant slug-like race, non-aligned to any major empire or political enclave of the Alpha Quadrant. In 2273 they hosted the Scorlaxian Astro-Derby attended for the first time by a team from the Federation, in the guise of the USS Devonshire.

A proud race, somewhat unperturbed by the fact that they resemble a Vogon crossed with a terran child picking his or her nose, they have the charisma of the common garden debt collector and all the charm and wit of a brick wall.
