Scorlaxian Astro-Derby

A shuttle race hosted by the Scorlaxians annually. In 2273 the starship USS Devonshire was ordered to enter a team in the race, with a view to winning the ultimate prize, mining rights for a rare mineral in the gas giant atmospheres of the Scorlax system.

The rare mineral element turned out to be an Ice Cream flavouring, the favourite of Commodore Birbent, Admiral James T. Kirk's love interest at Starfleet Headquaters.
