During his vacation on the scenic Klingon homeworld of Quonos, Lieutenant Sean Russell gets a chance to be a contestant on a Klingon game show. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity...most of the contestants don't live to come back for another appearance.
Summary
While on leave on Quonos, Lieutenant Sean Russell sees a crowd of people entering a building and decides to see what's going on. It's the studio where the Klingon game show "Win Or Else!" is filmed, and he is selected as the first ever human contestant on the show. The host, Krinok puts Russell and his opponent through three rounds. The loser gets two weeks at Rura Penthe. The winner gets to not go to Rura Penthe for two weeks. Russell wins because he can answer the final question: name a Starfleet ship other than the Enterprise.

This story was actually written for Star Traks: The Original Series in the first batch of short stories done in 1993. By the time I started the web page, I was writing Waystation and decided to use the story for that series instead, making the appropriate changes.
