Veraxe' was Serellan artist in the 26th Century. He was the Artist Exemplar of the Grenevli Province and six time winner of the Federation Arts Council Golden Palette. six. His species was known throughout the Federation as peaceful purveyors of art, music, and drama, but when he was denied a grant by the Federation Arts Council to create his space painting "Sunrise on Serrella", he took matters into his own hands and used a ship borrowed from a family member and a fleet of flying robots to create the painting himself. This drew the attention of Admiral Okawa and Janie Tyler, who went to investigate in a raceabout. Veraxe' captured the raceabout and imprisoned them. Soon thereafter, Ensign Hector Arroyo of the USS Anomaly learned they were missing and went with Lieutenant Shelly Marsden to investigate. They were briefly captured as well, but Arroyo was able to escape Veraxe', destroying multiple robots in the process, then free Marsden, Janie, and Okawa. They fled Veraxe's ship only to find that he had completed the painting, which was absolutely gorgeous. They decided not to destroy it.

Veraxe' disappeared, but the Federation Arts Council awarded him his seventh Golden Palette for "Sunrise on Serella." Starfleet, meanwhile, issues a warrant for his arrest for Unauthorized Defacing of Space. (The Ties That Bind [BG])
