Gyjik's Galaxy Gateway

Gyjik’s Galaxy Gateway was a shopping center/tourist trap located just past the checkpoint when entering the Andromeda Galaxy. The USS Anomaly saw multiple signs advertising Gyjik's as the ship approached Andromeda. (Do You Have Anything To Declare? [BG])

After the ship was damaged by the Associates, it was towed back to Gyjik's, at which point the Anomaly crew got to work trying to find parts and information. This included visiting Gyjik himself, who ran the business from a headquarters a short spaceflight away from the main facility. Lieutenant Shelly Marsden applied for and received a Gyjik's credit account, which she and crew then used to buy parts for repairs and assorted other purchases. She didn't care about the bill because she expected to be back in the Milky Way galaxy before it was an issue. (Yes, We Do Indeed Have Something To Declare! [BG])

A couple years later, Gyjik's sent Marsden a final notice about her debt, then after getting no response (the message bounced off of the Great Barrier surrounding the Milky Way), turned her over to Associates Acquisitions to collect what she owed. The Associates ship traveled to the Milky Way looking for the Anomaly. With no way to pay them back, Marsden beamed over to their ship with Lieutenant Commander Tovar to work off her debt. The Anomaly crew realized that the Associates shuttle they brought back from Andromeda might be worth enough to pay off what Marsden owed, so they got it from Earth and, thanks to Cole Anfibon preventing the Associates from leaving the galaxy by crashing a microshuttle into their engines, were able to catch up to the Associates and give them the shuttle plus some engine repairs to satisfy Gyjik's debt.
