Leton Duran

Leton Duran was the leader of Brialis Seven, a non-aligned world that the USS Anomaly visited to convince them to join the Federation rather than the Vulcan alliance. After heading from Captain Reginald Bain and Vulcan Ambassador Sperik, Duran decided to join the Vulcans. The Anomaly crew soon discovered that the planet was about to be eaten by a massive space amoeba. The Vulcans left after learning this, and Duran then asked Bain to help. Dr. Natalia Kasyov developed a plan to shrink the approaching organism, but it required the Anomaly, several Brialan ships, and the Vulcan ships to work. Once it was successful, Duran decided to join the Vulcans anyway. (Diplomatic Immunity [BG])
