Chynok was a Klingon who served as the Sherriff at the Nuq'neh Corral dude ranch on Qo'nos. She did this despite hating off-worlders and wanting Klingons to return to their old ways. After threatening Commander Prosak unless she left the planet and then refusing to debate her, Chynok accepted Prosak's challenge to honorable combat. After learning that Prosak was actually a Romulan and not a Vulcan from Krard, Chynok revealed this fact to the crowd gathered to watch their battle, turning them instantly against Prosak. She provided Prosak with a lop'leth for the battle, but Prosak instead used a tip she'd gotten from Lieutenant Gworos and tickled Chynok behind her elbow. This sent Chynok into a fit of giggles, and she fell on top of Prosak, knocking the Romulan out. After this, Chynok fled Qo'nos before the Vulcans arrived and took over. (Wagon Train To Qo'nos [BG])

Chynok and two other Klingons, Krard and Bonjar, stole a Romulan warhawk in an effort to gather ships to rebuild the Klingon Empire. They were pursued by officers from the USS Anomaly aboard the scout ship Allegra. Chynok beamed aboard the Allegra and attacked Prosak, determined to avenge her defeat at Prosak's hands at the dude ranch. While they fought, Commander Vioxx and several others from the Anomaly took over the warhawk, disabled the Allegra, and took Chynok and the other Klingons into custody. (A Hawk In Hand [BG])

With the help of Dr. Fred Nooney, Chynok got a position on a cruise ship on Pacifica. Nooney took Prosak to see a holographic version of Chynok when Prosak was feeling lost after Snotch destroyed her belief that she would ever be accepted by a Vulcan. Nooney hoped seeing how Chynok had moved on after her release a from Romulan prison would show Prosak that she could rebuild her life and be whatever she wanted. Instead, Prosak took the opportunity to violently attack the hologram, maiming it in terrible ways. (Welcome to the Party [BG])
