Selvan
The Selvan first attempted to take control of Lisa Beck's body directly by invading her dreams. Beck was able to repel the effort, forcing the Selvan to take another path. Using Walter Morales' feelings for Beck and his jealousy of Phillip Harper as a doorway, the Selvan took control of Morales, murdered Harper, and forced Beck to allow the Selvan to take over her body. (Dream Sequence, A Door Is Ajar [WAY]) The Selvan took Beck's body to Vega Two and used it to steal an artifact called the Glyph of Ranit-Del to get revenge on the Q. Millennia earlier, the Selvan species were transcending their physical forms toward omnipotence when they were intercepted by the Q. The Q Continuum decided that the Selvan were not ready to be let loose on the universe and trapped all of their consciousnesses in a dimensional rift. Centuries of imprisonment by the Q united the Selvan species in one goal: revenge. But to attain it, they first had to escape the confines of the dimensional rift. Divided, they could not succeed, so they found the strongest of their number and focused their energies to send him out of the rift to seek vengeance against the Q. To hurt the Q, the Selvan had to first reach the Continuum. Learning that Beck had been touched by the Q, the Selvan was determined to take over her body and use her connection with the Q and the power of the Glyph as a bridge into the Q Continuum. With the help of Leximas, Beck reached the Continuum first, but they were unable to convince the Q that they were in danger before the Selvan arrived. During the subsequent battle, Beck was able to regain enough control of her body to tell Commander Morales to stun her, which he did. With Beck's body unconscious and the Glyph knocked out of her hand, the Selvan was severely weakened, and the Q quickly wiped him and the remaining remnants of the Selvan species out of existence.
