The residents of [[Neilsen IV]] have had their culture completely shaped by television signals they have received from Earth over the years.  To them, television stars are gods.  Beaming down to make First Contact, the away team from the Secondprize soon finds themselves surrounded by Neilsonians.  In an attempt to get a handle on things, Commander [[Travis Dillon]] goes through his usual introductory speech, introducing the members of his away team in the process.  Upon hearing the name of Ensign [[Emily Sullivan]], the Neilsonians immediately associate her with the great Ed Sullivan and demand that the away team put on a show.  The Secondprize crewmembers are carried off to a theater to perform, with the knowledge that if they don't, they will be killed.  Sullivan takes charge and has Ensign [[Kristen Larkin]] tell the group everything she knows about The Ed Sullivan Show.  She then organizes the crew into acts.  Larkin juggles herself, Lieutenant [[Patricia Hawkins]] does a phaser sharp-shooting demonstration, [[Jaroch]] does a comedy routine with [[J'Ter]], and, much to his horror, Dillon is announced as performing "I'm A Little Teapot."  The Neilsonians are appeased, and the away team returns to the Secondprize.  As the evening's entertainment, Captain [[Alexander Rydell]] broadcasts Dillon's performance across the ship.
