Next Federation

The name given by Admiral Hitori Sulu to his group of ships and officers. Sulu had become displeased with Starfleet and the Federation and felt that drastic change was needed to return things to the way they were in the hey-day of his idol and ancestor, Hikaru Sulu. Next Federation ships and personnel were all given names referencing condors, a bird Sulu admired.

The Next Federation fleet launched from a base called Condor's Nest in an area of the Beta Quadrant known as the Demon's Sanctum. The fleet's ships were stored inside pockets created by subspace generators mounted on the surface of an innocent-looking freighter. Captain Alexander Rydell and the USS Secondprize were able to stop the freighter, and the Next Federation fleet was forced to surrender by the timely arrival of a much larger fleet of Starfleet vessels under the command of Admiral Cooper, who had been summoned by Admiral Earl Wyndham.
