Hypple
Multek who belonged to Wuddle's secret group of believers in alien life. He traveled with Wuddle to the wreck of the D'Ceti ship and then to Waystation, where he remained at Wuddle's request. (The Way We Were [WAY]) On Waystation, he became friends with Yeoman Tina Jones, who helped him adjust to life in the Federation. Hypple was approached by Associated Worlds Network reporter Joan Redding, who tricked Hypple into taking her into the Multek Enclave for a tour. Jones and Lieutenant Commander Craig Porter pursued them in the Runabout USS Roanoke, and Redding opened fire on them without Hypple realizing what was happening. Jones and Porter were able to stop Redding's ship, and Jones flattened Redding with a swift punch to the jaw. Phillip Harper, the owner of AWN, arrived at Waystation soon afterward and promised to rein in Redding. (News At Eleven [WAY]) Hypple began working with Yeoman Jones in the Waystation liaison office and eventually took over the Welcome Center when Jones became a security officer.
