Zantak
Sub-Lieutenant Zantak was the helm officer of the Romulan scout ship Tyvek. While exploring the Delta Quadrant, the Tyvek was lost to the Lucinda entity, and during the entity's attack on the ship, Zantak was badly injured by one of the energy beings Lucinda sent aboard. Zantak and the other officers were able to escape to a nearby habitable planet. There they were nearly eaten by a family of the planet's inhabitants but were rescued by the USS Anomaly. After the Anomaly dealt with Lucinda, Romulan High Command insisted that Zantak and the other Tyvek officers stay aboard, so the Romulans would be more involved in the Anomaly's day-to-day operations. Zantak served as one of the Anomaly's helm officers. (Bold Faced Lies [BG])
Zantak decided to follow the RommaVulc philosophy, a fact that she did not reveal until her mind meld skills were needed aboard the Manamanat. She kept it a secret because she did not want the attention from Commander Prosak that she knew it would bring and also because other Romulans could be quite mean to RommaVulcs. She did, however, assist with the meld, which allowed her, Prosak, and Sub-Commander Remax to enter Selex's mind and help keep the ship from exploding. While joined with Selex, who was directly connected to the Manamanat, she acted as the ship's computer and frustrated the Breen's attempts to use the ship once they boarded and took it over. Following these events, Zantak returned to the Empire with Commander Vioxx and the others, and she continued to serve as the helm officer on Vioxx's new command, another scout ship. (Going, Going, Gone... [BG])
Zantak was generally quiet, only speaking as few words as possible when she had to.
